Folios produced for Southern Institute Technology Diploma in Digital Photography.
A series of papers were required to finish this course and I have included some of the portfolios produced on this journey.
I found this an extremely challenging exercise beginning with little knowledge of photography, a very steep learning curve but very rewarding.
The isolation of distance on-line learning is frustrating but it does teach you independence and problem solving skills.

SAMPLE FOLIOS
FOLIO: 1 PORTRAITS AND PORTRAYAL
Producing a series of images from proposal to final presentation was a challenging task. I elected to take a series of portraits of notable figures and portray their characters in a fresh and unique way - using composite images and Photoshop. My subjects were very obliging and worked with me to develop the images and share aspects of their personality and lives. Click on the BUTTON to see other images in the series |
FOLIO: 2 THE VALKYRIES
Advanced image editing tools available in Adobe Photoshop. I was inspired by a statue in the Auckland Domain of The Valkyries sculptured by RS Hellaby 1929 and developed a series. Check out the tale unfolding. The horse images are all of my lovely Bella and are my own. Click on image to see the other images produced for this folio |
